Junior Japan Rugby team's Visit

Tamavua, Suva -

The Junior Japan rugby team were hosted at the Fiji LDS Church college on the 19th of March, 2015. LDS was selected through the adopted schools program to support the Junior Japan rugby team during this year's Pacific Rugby Cup competition, which will commence with the Fiji Warriors taking on the Argentina Pampas in the finals. The Japan rugby team were warmly received by the students, and were very entertaining, as they enjoyed mini games and fun drills with the students.

Bro Carthew, our school principal said it was a proud moment for the school to host a big international team like Japan.
"It means a lot to us, the students don't get opportunities like this to meet elite sportsmen and we try to encourage our students to be involved in where ever their talents take them and there are many people here who enjoy sports especially rugby."

Seminary Week 2015

Tamavua, Suva -

Seminary week this year brought about a little friendly competition between the homerooms. Majority of the activities were done during Lunch time beginning with the Scavenger Hunt. Here's a few pictures from the Scavenger Hunt.

The Amazing Race

The week capped off with the Seminary version of Amazing race. The Students had to complete various activities ranging from building a temple using a deck of cards, to navigating through blind obstacle course, to shooting baskets using shoes and balloons. What added to the fun was it rained half way through the race which brought a little twist as some activities were outdoors.

Sis Maiwiriwiri's Baby Shower

The Female Teachers at the College organized a surprise Baby shower for Sis Maiwiriwiri during 3rd Term of 2014. On the same occasion, they Fare welled Sis Sudh, who was migrating to New Zealand. It was a Girls night out and needless to say it got a little crazy with reports of some jumping on tops of tables with the music blaring and singing and dancing their hearts out.
