2014 Senior Prom Night

150 senior students of the LDS Church College attended the Senior prom held at the school gymnasium on Friday 21 November to mark the end of another school year.

It was chance for all the girls to “doll” up in beautiful gowns and high heeled shoes and they did look so beautiful while the boys tried to match their date’s gowns with appropriate shirts or colorful ties.

19 year old Head Boy , Laisenia Tuinamoala said that it was such an “awesome and perfect night especially for those of us who are leaving school this year. It really was a night to remember."

Theme of the prom was “Candy Crush , Let’s get a Sugar Rush" as selected by the students after a survey.

The Prom Committee made up of the Form 5 Junior Prefects organised the entire event and they were excited that they got to plan everything including the decoration , the entertainment and the fruit punch , pineapples and apple in white caramel. The gym was colorfully decorated to reflect candies and candy canes.

LDS College Choir impress an Apostle

During Elder Anderson's visit, the school choir sang two songs titled "Come thou Fount of every Blessings" and "How Great the Miracle." There performance of these two songs was so beautifully captivating that Elder Anderson requested a video recording of the choir singing both songs so he could show it to the quorum of the twelve on his return. It made an impression on them that the video was televised on the BYU channel.

World Teachers Day 2014

In Celebration of World Teachers Day at the Fiji LDS Church college, the Photography Club made this surprising and funny video for the school. It depicts the teachers in various fun and interesting costumes and places.

Needless to say, the students were thoroughly entertained and the teachers couldn't help but enjoy this production. It definitely set the tone for this year's Teachers Day celebration.

Welcome to the Fiji LDS College Library

My intention for creating this Blog is to provide a place where information about Library and school events and activities, can be shared. These information will come in different formats ranging from catalogs, to pictures, to videos, etc.

It also serves to keep a record of successful Library programs, and updates of what’s new in the Library. This will be a whole new way of learning about the Library resources and keeping track of academic and social events in the school.

From your Friendly school librarian,
Sis Qima.
